We are registered under section 8 of companies act 2013 as a not for profit company. The mission of the company is to work towards a world where nature and mankind can live in harmony together.

Our Aim
Volunteer for KNF
In today’s society, most of our time and effort goes toward making a living, leaving little room for volunteer work. We pour our energy into jobs that help companies profit, believing this is what keeps us financially secure. The “time for money” exchange shapes our priorities, making paid work seem more urgent than unpaid contributions. While employers provide stability as long as we’re employed, that safety net disappears the moment we leave.
This system conditions us to value only what generates income, often at the expense of meaningful but unpaid efforts. Yet, volunteering strengthens communities in ways money alone cannot. The challenge lies in reshaping our mindset to recognize that giving time can be just as valuable as earning it.
However, this isn’t the case with nature. No matter who we are or where we are, the planet sustains us. It provides the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat.
But what have we given back to this life-giving system?
Modern living continuously takes from the Earth, giving back nothing more than waste. If you truly love nature, wouldn’t you want to give something in return? That is why we founded the Kanniyakumari Nature Foundation—to give back to the planet that has sustained us for so long. We invite you to join us on this journey.
